Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store, ensuring smooth sales, efficient stock management, and outstanding customer satisfaction. As rice is our core product, you will be responsible for maintaining strict quality standards and ensuring compliance with UK food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment.
- Manage stock levels, storage conditions, and implement FIFO practices to maintain rice quality.
- Supervise and train store staff, ensuring high performance and team efficiency.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and build strong customer relationships.
- Liaise with suppliers and distributors for timely rice procurement and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with UK food safety, hygiene, and trading standards.
- Manage financial operations, including cash handling, billing, and reporting sales performance.
- Work with management to achieve sales targets and business growth.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in store or retail management, preferably in food, FMCG, or grocery.
- Strong understanding of food handling and storage regulations in the UK.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- IT literacy (POS systems, MS Office, basic accounts).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
